Visit Santa Barbara

About The Project

Marketed as the American Riviera, Santa Barbara, California needed a very robust and highly flexible content management system to tie into their entrenched CRM to help showcase its gorgeous collection of imagery and extensive resource listings. They also wanted to analyze key metrics of the user experience, which is where we came in. Goals for the new site included:

  1. Move to a fully responsive web experience without losing full functionality of inspiration content and resource-planning tools
  2. Import, massage, remap, and transfer data and content from Simpleview CRM to WordPress’ much more robust and flexible publishing platform via custom importer
  3. Build an editorial and page-level content publishing platform that’s both infinitely flexible and easy to use for busy content admins
  4. Map and list travel resources based on a highly flexible taxonomical structure by utilizing custom internal APIs
  5. Track and analyze KPIs via custom event tracking across multiple accounts in Google Analytics fired via custom Javascript and Google Tag Manager
